Competition Gloss Finish Kettlebell-C1
Competition Gloss Finish Kettlebell-C1
The Competition Gloss Kettlebell by Alex Athletics is built for Girevoy Sport precision. Every weight in the series shares the same physical dimensions, ensuring consistent technique and rack positioning as you progress. Featuring a smooth stainless steel handle for friction-free rotation and a high-gloss body finish, it minimizes forearm abrasion during high-rep sets. Color-coded to international standards and perfectly balanced, it is the professional choice for athletes demanding uniformity and performance.
The Standard of Consistency: Competition Kettlebell (Gloss)
In Kettlebell Sport (Girevoy Sport), technique is paramount, and consistency is the key to technique. The Competition Gloss Finish Kettlebell (C1) by Alex Athletics is engineered to provide that consistency. Unlike cast iron “fitness” kettlebells which change physical size as they get heavier, every bell in this series—from 8kg to 32kg—shares the exact same dimensions (210 x 210 x 288 mm). This means your rack position, insertion point, and lever lengths remain identical whether you are warming up with a light weight or competing with a heavy one. This uniformity is critical for groove retention and neuromuscular efficiency; you don’t have to relearn your form every time you move up a weight.
The body of the bell is constructed from steel (often a steel shell with filler for weight adjustment) and finished with a durable, high-gloss powder coat. This shiny finish is not just aesthetic; it provides a smooth surface that reduces friction against the forearm in the rack position. The handle is made from bare or clear-coated Stainless Steel (or high-polish steel), intentionally left unpainted to prevent chipping and to provide a smooth rotation in the hand without tearing calluses. Color-coded bands or bodies identify the weight instantly according to international standards (e.g., Pink 8kg, Blue 12kg, Yellow 16kg). For the athlete dedicated to the sport of kettlebell lifting, this is the requisite tool.
1. Uniform Competition Dimensions
The hallmark of a competition bell is size consistency. The 8kg bell is the same size as the 32kg bell. This ensures that the bell rests in the same spot on your forearm (rack position) every time. It allows for a seamless transition between weights without altering your technique, essential for high-rep snatch and jerk sets.
2. Smooth Stainless Steel Handle
The handle is the user interface. It features a smaller, uniform diameter (33mm or 35mm standard) compared to cast iron bells. The surface is smooth bare metal (stainless), which is vital for preventing friction burns during high-rep sets. It holds chalk well but doesn’t have the rough casting seams that rip hands apart.
3. High-Gloss Durable Finish
The body features a glossy paint or powder coat. This smooth texture allows the bell to rotate easily against the forearm during the insertion phase of the snatch, minimizing abrasion and bruising. It also looks professional and resists chipping, maintaining the color-coding visibility.
4. Precision Balance & Hollow Core
Competition bells are balanced to ensure the center of gravity is central. Depending on the weight, the core may be hollow or filled to achieve the exact mass without changing the external shell. This balance creates a predictable flight path during ballistic movements.
5. International Color Coding
There is no guessing the weight. The bells follow the universal color code: Pink (8kg), Blue (12kg), Yellow (16kg), Purple (20kg), Green (24kg), Orange (28kg), Red (32kg). This allows coaches and athletes to identify loads instantly from across the room.
