The Indestructible Swing: CPU Coated Kettlebell

Kettlebells are often dropped, swung, and banged against forearms, making durability and finish critical. The CPU Coated Kettlebell by Alex Athletics utilizes Cast Polyurethane (CPU) to create the most robust kettlebell on the market. Unlike cast iron which can chip or rust, or vinyl which can crack, CPU provides a tough, impact-resistant armor that protects the bell and your floor. It is shock-absorbent and quiet, eliminating the loud clang of metal-on-metal. The block mold construction ensures a consistent, balanced shape with a flat bottom for stability during renegade rows and storage.

The handle is where this kettlebell truly shines. It features a solid steel handle with a Hard Chrome finish. This smooth, polished surface is essential for high-repetition ballistic movements like snatches and cleans. A rough handle will tear up your hands as it rotates; the smooth chrome allows the handle to turn freely within your grip without friction, saving your skin and improving endurance. The handle diameter (Dia. 34mm) is optimized for grip strength without being too thick. From the 8kg starter weight to the 32kg heavy swinger, this kettlebell combines the durability of industrial urethane with the premium feel of a competition handle.

1. Impact-Resistant CPU Coating

Cast Polyurethane is the toughest coating available. It protects the core of the bell from rust and damage. More importantly, it protects your training environment. If you drop this bell on a wood platform or tile floor, the CPU absorbs much of the impact, preventing chips and cracks in the substrate. It is odorless and maintains its color indefinitely.

2. Smooth Hard Chrome Handle

Kettlebell training involves dynamic rotation. The handle must slide in the hand. The Hard Chrome finish is ultra-smooth and rust-resistant. It prevents the friction burns and calluses caused by rough cast iron handles (often called “dog bone” handles). This finish allows for fluid transitions and higher rep counts in comfort.

3. Flat Bottom Stability

A stable base is crucial for safety and versatility. The flat bottom design ensures the kettlebell sits perfectly upright when stored. It also allows for dual-kettlebell floor exercises like push-ups and renegade rows, providing a solid, non-wobbling foundation for your body weight.

4. Consistent “Block Mold” Shape

The manufacturing process ensures uniformity. The shape of the bell is consistent across weights (though size may vary slightly), providing a predictable center of gravity. The window (space between handle and ball) is sized to accommodate the forearm comfortably in the rack position without awkward pressure points.

5. Professional Weight Range

Available from 8kg to 32kg, this series covers the standard progression for kettlebell training. Whether you are learning the Turkish Get-Up or performing heavy two-handed swings, there is a weight increment to match your strength level. The durability ensures the 32kg bell is just as safe to drop as the 8kg.
